ROCK FRONT 400 Base UL is a warm down backpacking quilt built for summer, autumn, and spring. Simple buckle-based setup makes it easy to adjust internal space and fit quilt more closely to your sleeping mat and body.
Wide insulated top closure wraps around neck and helps reduce heat loss. Bottom drawcord can be opened for ventilation, while 3/4 zipper lets quilt open flat into a blanket when conditions are warmer.
It also works well beyond tent use. On warm nights, in a car, or in a hostel, quilt can be used like a blanket. Special loops also allow it to be used as a hammock underquilt with the upgraded underquilt set.
Insulated with 900+ fill power goose down, it stays warm, lightweight, and compact. DWR-treated down and shell fabric also help it handle damp off-season conditions better.

Kitty Mountain –
I have already tested it on two hikes and very pleased with it.
Quilt design is really comfortable, it has a lot of space and warms better than a regular sleeping bag. Also, the fabric is very soft and pleasant. The only drawback is that you don’t want to get out of it in the morning)

First off I love this quilt. The draft tubes down the sides are amazing as is the draft collar.
The temperature rating is definitely underrated. This quilt offers more warmth than my EE20.
The stuff sack at 59 grams is too heavy and I would have preferred something light and simple. Likewise the included straps are heavy at 30 grams.
One thing I never see mentioned about this quilt is that the clips on both sides are female. This means if you wanted to close up the quilt like a sleeping bag without the straps you’re out of luck.
Please change this. It’s a simple change but adds versatility.

Rock front is quickly becomming my favorite brand for outdoor gear. You can not match the vercitility and price of there products. There is also some new ideas that i simply love, like the draft tubes on the side of this quilt. Justin outdoors was right, it is a game changer. I tryed the quilt in my yard and the tempreture went from 2 degrees to – 1 celcius. I’m a cold sleeper and with base layers i was comfi around 0. For me the ratings are spot on, again, i’m a cold sleeper.
Soft as a cloud.
If you are considering i quilt look no further, this is one of the best. Five stars.
