Rain Hoody is a lightweight alternative to expensive membrane jackets and bulky ponchos. It is a minimalist waterproof anorak with long side zippers that give better ventilation than most simple rain shells.
Two sliders let you open zippers only where needed or vent along the full length. Wide visor helps protect face from rain, while hood can be adjusted with a front drawcord and rear hook-and-loop tab for a better fit.
Loose fit improves airflow and makes layering easier. Long sleeves work well on the bike, and drawcord cuffs help keep water from running inside sleeves.
Made from 15D nylon with PU coating on the inside and silicone on the outside, Rain Hoody provides waterproof protection up to 2500 mm. Water-resistant zippers and taped seams help improve weather protection in prolonged rain.

Great rain hoody.
You definitely will sweat in it if you don’t vent the heat, but with how long the zips are it’s pretty easy to do so.
I wish that it had slightly different zips- the square zip hanles get caught at 90 degrees often, if it had rounded zips or cord it would be better.
A snap at the bottom of the jackets zip would be useful- I do worry about long term pressure on the zip from undoing it every time to take it off.
In the future, it would be wicked to have the option for thicker or thinner materials- 10D or 20D or 30D etc

This has quickly become my everyday rain jacket. Unlike other membranes, it actually keeps me dry in sustained heavy rain. I’m tall have found it hard to find a jacket long enough in the arms and back. Not so with the Rock Front hoody, the cut is perfect for me. The length of the sleeves allows me to pull of over gloves and move my arms around with the cuffs staying in place. The fabric is thin, which is to be expected for an ultralight jacket. I would love to see a version with a thicker fabric to use as an everyday jacket. I think it would be very popular with casual hikers living in wet climates.

Huge pit zips, non-permeable membrane, taped seams, AND under 150g in size large. It’s minimal, but if it’s what you’re looking for, it does it extremely well. 10/10
